Special Needs & Accessibility
From accessing airports, transferring to town, seeing the sights, going to the beaches, or hiring a car, Oahu has options available for travelers with special needs. Oahu comes under the jurisdiction of the Americans with Disabilities Act and so every step must have a ramp and every escalator a corresponding elevator. All public buses are wheelchair friendly with hydraulic lifts and wheel locking facilities, and elevator symbols and room numbers in every hotel are in Braille. Many of the hotels are equipped with wheelchair-accessible rooms, and tour companies provide many special services for travelers with limited mobility. At Oahu’s shopping malls and restaurants doors are automated with a touch of button.
TRANSPORTATION
From your airplane ride to renting an accessible van, parking and getting around on our public transportation system, find out how Oahu can make traveling a more comfortable experience.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS
