Honolulu Academy of Arts, Honolulu
In 1927, when Anna Rice Cook established the Honolulu Academy of ARts on the site of her Honolulu home, she intended that "our children of many nationalities and races, born far from the centers of Art, may receive and intimation of their own cultural legacy." Today the Academy is recognized for its vast collections of Asian, American and European art. Six garden courtyards surround the Academy's 30 galleries, so allow plenty of time for strolling.
